HOW TO ENABLE/DISABLE USB PORTS

In  some  instances, in  order  to prevent unauthorized  copying  of  data  to USB-based storage  devices, the  USB  port  is  disabled intentionally. How  to  Enable USB Port through Regedit in Windows  if it is blocked. There are many tricks and tips about Enable or Disable USB
METHOD 1. 
1. Click Start, and then click Run. 
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK. 
3. Locate, and then click the following registry
key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\currentControlSet\Services\UsbStor 

4. In the right pane, double-click Start. 
5. In the Value data box, type 4, click Hexadecimal

(if it is not already 
selected), and then click OK. ....
6. Quit Registry Editor.
This disables the usb drive to enable the value must be 3.
also u may have to restart the system.

METHOD
 2
1.Go to My computer>right click>properties>
2.Hardware>Device Manager
3.find the Universal serials bus controllers expand it, 
4.Find the usb port right click on it
 5.select disable. 

METHOD 3
1. At system startup press DEL or F2 key to open BIOS settings.
2. In BIOS, find “Advanced Settings” or “Onboard Devices” menu (this may vary due to different BIOS manufacturers

3. Find “USB Configuration” and disable USB Controllers to disable all USB ports
