How to Trade stock in Excel sheet(detailed Analysis)
If you have the right version of Excel, you can build a stock tracker from a list of ticker symbols. The “right version” includes Excel for Microsoft 365 Excel for Microsoft 365 for Mac Excel for the web, Excel for iPad, Excel for iPhone, Excel for Android tablets and Excel for Android phones. People using a perpetual license version of desktop Excel (e.g. Excel 2021) do not enjoy the feature, and should think about switching to a subscription version.
1. Type the ticker symbols in a
column of cells
2. Select those cells, then select the Data…Stocks ribbon item. The ticker symbols will then change to the Stocks icon followed by the company name and exchange it trades on.
3. If Excel presents a task window,
there may be more than one exchange trading that stock and Excel needs you to
specify which one you prefer.
4. Excel can then display values for
a number of different properties of each stock, such as price, volume, change
and Beta using a formula like =A2.Price. In that particular case, the date and
time you updated the formula are also returned.
5. To update all of the prices,
right-click one of the Stocks data type cells and choose Data Type…Refresh.
